Privacy statement

1. Who we are

This is a translation of the Dutch privacyverklaring. In case of any difference between the two, the Dutch text prevails.

PID Dynamics is a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma) based in Groningen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42157901. We offer optimisation of PID controllers to companies in the process industry. For questions about this privacy statement, you can contact us at info@piddynamics.com.

2. What data we collect

Via the contact form on piddynamics.com we collect the following data that you enter yourself:

• Name
• Company name
• Email address
• How you heard about us, if you fill it in
• Any other information you voluntarily enter in the message field

When you complete the quickscan, we receive your answers, the number of signs recognised and, if you fill them in, your answers to the questions about your plant. This happens anonymously: without a name, email address or other data by which we could recognise you. If you then request your breakdown, we receive your email address together with your answers, and whether we may email you occasionally.

We do not place cookies. To see how the website is used, we keep anonymous visitor statistics with Umami: which pages are viewed and how far visitors get in the quickscan. Umami does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not build visitor profiles; the statistics cannot be traced back to you as a person. We do not collect any other personal data.

3. Why we collect this data

We use your data solely to respond to your message or, with the quickscan, to send you the breakdown of your answers and give you a personal response. Only if you separately opt in with the quickscan do we also email you occasionally about process control: articles, experience from practice and new tools; you can unsubscribe at any time, by replying to such a message or emailing info@piddynamics.com. We use the anonymous answers to get a picture of how control loops are doing in practice. We do not use your data for other marketing purposes and do not share it with third parties.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent: by filling in and sending the contact form or the quickscan form, you consent to the processing of your data for those purposes.

4. How long we keep your data

We do not keep your contact details longer than necessary. If no further cooperation follows your contact request or quickscan, we delete your data within 12 months of the last contact. If you gave permission with the quickscan to email you occasionally, we keep your email address for that purpose until you unsubscribe.

5. Processing via FormSubmit and Resend

The contact form and the quickscan form on our website are processed via FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a service of Devro LABS. FormSubmit receives the data you enter and forwards it to our email address. FormSubmit acts as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. We send the quickscan breakdown via Resend (resend.com), a service of Resend Inc. For this, Resend receives your email address and the content of the breakdown, and likewise acts as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. More information can be found in the Resend privacy policy.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to the processing. You can submit your request via info@piddynamics.com. We respond within 30 days.

If you believe that we do not process your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

8. Changes

We may amend this privacy statement. The most recent version is available on piddynamics.com. In case of significant changes, we will inform you by email if we have your contact details.
